LEAD GREENSKEEPER
City of Owensville Parks & Recreation Department (OPRD) is accepting applications for Lead Greenskeeper. Position will perform a variety of work involving grounds and facility maintenance at the golf course. Position is full-time, non-exempt with full benefit package. SEASONAL OPPORTUNITIES

City of Owensville Parks & Recreation Department (OPRD) is accepting applications to hire seasonal staff for the upcoming spring and summer season. The department is looking to fill many part-time positions in several different areas.

Opening day of Winter Water Park is right around the corner. Therefore, OPRD needs to hire friendly, mature and reliable individuals to work as admission attendants, concession attendants, lifeguards, manager/ assistant manager and pool assistant laborer. All positions will be required to provide exceptional customer service to every guest, maintain a clean and presentable environment and give 120% all season long. Admission attendants will be responsible to greet and provide an outstanding first impression to all pool guests. Position will require cash handling, customer service and phone skills. Position will also be required to take program registrations. Concession attendants will be required to provide quality snacks and beverages to pool guests. Position will require cash handling. Lifeguards will be required to stay alert to provide a safe pool and deck for all pool guests. Manager/Assistant Manager (must be at least 18 years of age to apply) will be required to oversee all facility operations, supervise staff in a professional manner, be organized and regularly handle difficult situations. Pool Assistant Laborer will be required to keep all areas of the pool clean and presentable on a daily basis, including bathhouses. Position will require the use a power washer, pool vacuum and to work morning hours.

OPRD’s parks and golf course will also need to be maintained during spring, summer and fall. The department will be hiring Laborers (must be at least 16 years of age to apply) to assist with keeping the park grounds clean and presentable for guests. Position will require mowing, trimming, trash pick-up, janitorial duties and field prep.

The Owensville Golf Course is seeking a Clubhouse Manager (must be at least 18 years of age to apply) and Attendants.  

Applicants must be at least 15 years of age, unless otherwise noted. Possible work hours for all positions include weekday, weeknight and/or weekend hours. All positions will be provided with a staff shirt. Lifeguards require StarGuard Elite certification and willingness to obtain in-house by late-May. Lifeguard training is provided by and paid for by the city.

PUBLIC WORKS LABORER
The Public Works Laborer is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position supervised by the Public Works Director. Primary duties of this position include the maintenance of city streets, the city drinking water system, and sanitary sewer system, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must have a valid Missouri Driver’s License. The City of Owensville offers a very generous benefit package. Police Officer
